Here in the foreground are the foundation stones of the "Three Subject" or "Trivial" School. Behind lies St Mary's Church to the north. What exactly the three subjects were, I have not yet found out, but given that most education in the middle-ages was provided by the church, I imagine that religeon and religeous-based science was high on the agenda.
