Korsholm Castle Site
This is all that remains of Korsholm Castle, but a visit to the site makes one realise what a perfect place it was for a fort. The hill is the highest in the area, sloping steeply down to the canal to the west, and down to the road to the east, with a fine view of the Court of Appeal in the distance. Whatever approach an enemy might make, they would be at a serious disadvantage, exposed and vulnerable on the slopes of the hill.
