The Women's Bathing Pavilion Rises from the Ashes

The women's bathing pavilion, which was burned down last autumn, is rising, like a phoenix, from the ashes. Construction work started some weeks ago, and since I took the latest photos the roof has been added. The water level was extremely low, which offered the opportunity for more interesting angles, but would not benefit the prospective bathers. More photos will come after I take my next walk along the front.

Well, here it is on Saturday May 17th, well on the way to being finished, and three people were sitting in the sun (out of the 7 degree Celsius north wind) testing the new planking. The water level was again extremely low (-33cm), thanks to that same north wind. Let's hope that the 'urban artists' don't try to decorate this fine new piece of woodwork.

And here is the finished product.
